Alyssa began working with children as a gymnastics coach, where she discovered how much she enjoyed helping them build confidence and master new skills. She later became a behavior therapist, which is when she found her true passion for supporting the pediatric population. While working in this role, she completed her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Through her experience as a behavior therapist, Alyssa gained insight into pediatric development, which she now applies in occupational therapy to support children in their growth and daily skills. Outside of NAPA, Alyssa enjoys taking adult ballet classes, reading, and spending time with her two corgis, Elly and Ernie.
