Ever since Amanda was young, she knew she wanted to help others. Amanda was inspired to help advocate for people since the day her first grade teacher chose her as the one to show around a new classmate who was new to the country. Amanda was chosen based on her nurturing character and she knew she had to continue making a difference. Fast forward to her first undergraduate class at Pitt, Intro to Audiology, and had the gut feeling that the field of SLP was where she would shine. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh and worked hard to get into her top rated graduate school, all while balancing extracurricular activities and attending every single Pitt football game. Amanda would go on to learning about AAC devices and eye gaze, sparking a huge interest in her. Amanda is ecstatic at the opportunity she has to get started at NAPA and making a lifelong impact on others’ lives. When she is spotted out and about on weekends, you can catch her at the dog park walking her beloved rescue pup, cheering loudly at a Bruins or Sox game, or grabbing ice cream with her friends. She is looking forward to her upcoming nuptials in the fall!
