MSW, California State University, Long Beach
Kimberlee was born and raised in the Echo Park community of Los Angeles. She is the fourth of six children, the only girl, with five brothers. Since childhood, Kimberlee always enjoyed helping others so a career in social work seemed inevitable. Kimberlee started her career with the Department of Children and Family Services, Adoptions Division, where she worked for 12 1/2 years. But as a parent of a child with medical and developmental needs, Kimberlee was drawn into the field of early intervention. She witnessed first hand how early intervention changed the life of her daughter and her family, in spite of the negative prognosis from doctors and specialists. Kimberlee worked as an early interventionist for 18 1/2 years at Pediatric Therapy Network and for an additional two years at Momentum Pediatric Therapy Network. Kimberlee is a passionate advocate for early intervention and its profound impact on young children and their families. When not advocating for children and families, Kimberlee enjoys spending
time with family and friends, whether outdoors taking walks along the beach, eating out at favorite restaurants, traveling, and watching movies.
