BCs of science degree in Occupational Therapist
Laoise Miley is an Irish therapist, now working in Australia. When she is not working, she loves spending time with friends, and as she is still new to Melbourne, she loves tourist attractions of any kind and exploring all Australia has to offer. Laoise has always loved working with kids and has done so for years. Before starting university, Laoise explored careers such as teaching and midwifery, and ultimately decided on occupational therapy, specifically paediatrics!
Laoise learned about NAPA during their pop-up intensive in Dublin, Ireland. She met with the team and observed many sessions. Laoise fell in love with the Intensive Model of Therapy, and of course the amazing determination and spirit of the NAPA families. After this experience, she always aspired to be a NAPA therapist. Thankfully, Laoise is now a member of the NAPA Melbourne team, and she gets to work with amazing children and their families every day. Laoise is passionate about working with children and their families in order to meet therapeutic goals, and positively impact their life. She enjoys getting creative with children and finding unique ways to individualise therapy.
